If you AirDrop to your own Mac you are not given the option above, so 'Live Photos' will never send correctly. You will only see this option reliably if you do not have AirDrop open in the Finder. When sharing to macOS, be sure to choose "Open in Photos", otherwise 'Live Photos' will not send correctly. When sharing from macOS, screenshots will lose their type tagging, and 'Slo-mo' videos will lose their type tagging and most other metadata (including location). Screenshots, 'Slo-mo' videos, and 'Time-lapse' videos will lose their type tagging and most other metadata (including location). Shared Albums default to allowing other people add photos/videos to them. If any recipient doesn't have an Apple device you will need to turn on "Public Website" for the Shared Album. If you do try this, note that the Photos app on macOS will not allow sending multiple videos. While you could send multiple photos/videos via iMessage, it's probably not a great idea to spam your friends and family that way. 
Enabling Mail Drop is recommended so that your email does not become too large to send. When given the option be sure to choose "Actual Size" to preserve the highest possible quality. How to access and use photo and video extensions in the Photos app Tap the green + button on the extensions you want to Favorite, and you can rearrange the order that they appear by dragging the handle on the right.
Tap the "." button in the upper right corner. Tap on the photo or video that you want to edit. Launch the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad. 
However, you can choose Favorites, which bump those extensions to the top of the list. With iOS 13 and later, apps with a Photos app extension are turned on automatically, so you don't have to manually turn it on like before. Some of our favorites include Camera+ 2, Darkroom, Pixelmator, and more.
